Aesthetic Treatments, Microneedling, Microneedling + Hyaluronic Acid
I treated myself to a microneedling treatment and would give it a 4.5 out of 5 stars! The treatment itself feels a bit uncomfortable, like a prickly or scratchy sensation, but the numbing cream helps a ton. My skin is usually red and sensitive for about 24–48 hours after, kind of like a sunburn, but it settles down fast.
What I really love is the ability for scars to fade. I have a small, circular scar from childhood that took to the treatment very well. After one session, I didn’t see a HUGE change, but definitely some improvement — you need a few treatments to notice results.
Pros: improves texture, reduces scars, boosts glow and firmness
Cons: downtime with redness, takes multiple sessions, not cheap
In Los Angeles, the cost for microneedling usually is between $300-600 each time. I paid $375 for my last treatment.
Overall, I suggest it if you want a slow, but effective, skin treatment and don’t mind some downtime!
